JUDY ZHANG is a DESIGN STUDIO which seeks to create new fashion landscapes blurring the boundaries between mode, digital technology and design. Its focus emerges in the hybrid space between physical and virtual fashion. A strong influence from science and technology is carried through all its projects; with different intensities, these factors can be reflected as the philosophy behind a narrative, the narrative itself or the medium used to produce the concept. The practice of JUDY ZHANG not only uses the traditional methods of research, design and creation, but also especially uses the advantages of today’s technology to translate these into virtual sketching and digital designing concepts within fashion.

JUDY ZHANG’s womenswear label focuses on creating garments using its custom software and pattern cutting system that has been in research and development since 2008 to ensure their low waste production. What makes its designs unique is that although conceptually created each piece is wearable, modern and feminine.
